Bring on the Pumpkins and Fall !
By: Ruthie Tanner
Eventually the heat wave will be over, right?? So even though we are still dealing with triple-digit heat, fall decor and pumpkins have arrived at my house.
Let’s do a little fall decor. Fall is one of my favorite seasons to decorate for. The colors are so rich and vibrant plus nature is such a wonderful canvas to pull from.
Start with a large basket tray.
Amber-colored jars are so beautiful and can be purchased from many places. However, I rescued these from the trash of a friend.
ALWAYS look for hidden treasures you can rescue!!
After a good cleaning, glued a black velvet ribbon around one and added a piece of decor (that was a hair clip that broke).
Decor includes a deer horn, amber jars, velvet pumpkin (makeover from Dollar Tree) long feathers and a ball of feathers (that actually was a Christmas ornament years ago but I liked it so now works as fall decor for me) a few other things that are fall colors.
Lay items on the tray until you get the look you desire. Larger pieces at the back- smaller ones in the front.
The feathers are just stuck down in a jar- nothing hard there.
The other fall stem was shortened to the correct height and then stuck in other jar.
