Gena Caruthers is the visionary & coordinator behind The Women’s Bible Study and Following Titus 2 Ministries. Gena and her husband, David, have been married 40 years and are pastors in San Antonio, Texas. Gena has two adult children, two in-law kids, and four grandkids.

    KENDA BUTLER is blessed to serve the Kingdom in ministry with her husband, Tyrel Butler. While in Hawaii for nearly 20 years, they ministered to the young people as District Youth President and served as Pastor of The Rock Kaneohe for five years. Currently, they are back in the Lonestar state and she serves in a variety of ministries, including Ladies Ministry and Music Ministry at their church, Cove Life. The Butlers are AIMers to the nations of Iceland and Finland and have Global Missions on their horizon as their next step in ministry.

    Kenda grew up in Copperas Cove, TX. She received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus Name in November of 1996. Ministry continues to be the heartbeat of her life, both inside and outside of the church. Kenda is an elementary school teacher in Killeen, TX. Everyday, she has the privilege to be Mom to her three children Jayda, Texas, and Jubilee. Her family brings so much joy to her life! They like to have fun playing family games, reading, and exploring new places.

    ASHLEY DAVIS is an unashamed, self-proclaimed book-lover. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She has been married to Aaron since 2009 and together they have three children. Aaron and Ashley are actively involved at Calvary Church and work primarily in youth and young adult ministry, music ministry, and administrative roles. Ashley is passionate about teaching and training Christians about simple ways to grow in Bible knowledge and dedication to daily time with God. She’s also a resource junkie, from highlighters and pens to Bible studies and books, she loves it all!

  • Makayla Davis

    MAKAYLA DAVIS is an aspiring student working towards a degree in English and hoping to one day become a technical writer. Currently, Makayla works remotely as a loan setup coordinator for PedFed Credit Union. She has a strong passion for coffee and a deep love for her ten-year-old yorkie, Lexie. In her free time, Makayla enjoys spending time outdoors and enjoys reading the classics and historical fiction. Her favorite book is The Great Gatsby. She is originally from Pensacola, Florida, grew up in Sylva, North Carolina, and moved to San Antonio and joined Calvary in 2020.

  • Lori Duran

    LORI DURAN is a native Texan, born and raised in San Antonio. She has been a member of Calvary Church since 2012. In 2014, Lori married her high school sweetheart, Brian. Together, they have three boys: Ethan, Liam, and Ezekiel. After graduating high school and before becoming a stay-at-home mom, Lori worked as a phlebotomist at a local clinic and as a bank teller, for two-and-a-half years, at First United Bank. Since joining Calvary, Lori has served as a Sunday school teacher and ladies team leader and is an actively involved member of Calvary’s prayer team. On a normal day, you’ll likely find Lori playing outside with her boys, riding bikes, blowing bubbles, drawing with chalk, and jumping on their trampoline. In her free time, Lori enjoys baking and running.

  • Annalissa Franco

    ANNALISSA FRANCO is an enthusiastic coffee-bibber who believes time is best spent making new friends and creating memories over shared meals. Annalissa currently works full-time as a Business Operations Manager for tech giant, Oracle Corporation, and oversees indirect sales support for Latin America. Annalissa holds a Master of Arts in Administration-Communication Arts from the University of the Incarnate Word and plans to continue her education at the doctoral level. Also a fluent Portuguese and Spanish speaker, Annalissa has a heart for multicultural missions and bi-vocational ministry. Newly empty nesters, Annalissa resides with her husband of fifteen years, Oscar, along the San Antonio River Walk. They enjoy coffee shop hopping with their two adult daughters, Kaitlyn and Amber. The Francos are longtime members of Calvary Church in San Antonio, Texas, and have faithfully served in various ministries over the years. When she's not at Calvary, you can spot Annalissa cycling through downtown San Antonio or at the local farmer's market with her husband and their two miniature dachshunds, Chloe & Melitta.

  • Betty Ann Goodger

    BETTY ANN GOODGER has a bachelor’s degree in child and family studies with a minor in special populations. After receiving her teaching credentials, Betty Ann pursued her passion for teaching and helping special education students. Betty and her husband, Bill, have been married almost ten years. When you ask Betty Ann about her true successes in life, she will tell you her testimony. Betty Ann grew up knowing mercy, grace, unmerited favor, and blessings that could not be contained. That did not mean bad things did not happen in her life, it just meant, and continues to mean, that God is greater, and He has the final say! In October of 1987, Betty Ann was baptized in Jesus' name and soon received the gift of the Holy Ghost. Throughout the tragedies of life, she has continued to see God’s leading, guiding, and protective hand.

  • Edith Nino

    EDITH NIÑO was born in Los Angeles, CA, and was reared in the ministry. In May 1994, Edith was baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus, and shortly thereafter begin serving in different capacities as a Sunday school teacher, musician, and worship leader. After graduating from high school, she obtained a bachelor's degree in Spanish, with a certification in bilingual education and thereafter earned her master's degree in bilingual education. Edith and her husband, Joshua, share two beautiful boys, Nathanael, and Anthony. Together, they have served in various leadership and evangelistic roles throughout the church. During her times off from work, Edith enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. Edith considers herself to be a teacher at heart and feels privileged to once again, be a part of the FT2 writing team.

  • Bradyn Ouelette

    BRADYN OUELLETTE is a newly married young adult, born and raised in the great city of San Antonio! She is currently working toward her bachelor's degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio and hopes to graduate in the fall of 2022. Bradyn’s hobbies include Bible journaling, reading, cooking, running, tennis, and almost anything that includes decorating and crafting! Bradyn has had the privilege of attending Calvary Church since she was seven years old and has grown into various roles of ministry. With the mentorship and help of numerous leaders, she serves in music ministry, teaches Sunday School with her husband, and leads a girl-focused ministry called “Today’s Christian Girl” for girls ages 9-12. Bradyn also serves as an administrative assistant for Calvary Church and the South Central Texas District of the UPCI.

  • Celeste Rivera

    CELESTE RIVERA was born and raised in the Apostolic church and has a rich family heritage of service to God. She is a native of San Antonio, Texas, and has lived there her whole life. Celeste has always been actively involved in church ministry. She currently serves diligently as a Sunday school teacher, a ladies team leader for women 18-29, and as a vital member of Calvary’s hospitality team. She works as an Assistant Director at a local Kids R Kids Learning Academy. In her teaching roles with children, Celeste loves seeing the wonder and amazement in children’s eyes as they learn something new! In her free time, Celeste enjoys baking, cooking, and reading. She is the proud owner of two cats.

    KAYLYNN SCHRACK is a wife to Brad, a mother to Briana, Kassidy, Josh, and Andrew, and a lover of God. She was born and raised in Alaska but has lived many places, thanks to ministry

    and the military. Together with her husband, Kaylynn pastored in Alaska for seven years. Kaylynn has an associate degree in education from the University of Alaska and is a licensed minister with the UPCI. She loves people and has a love for jail ministry, teaching at ladies’ conferences, writing, and praying with others. Kaylynn enjoys all things creative, traveling, teaching, studying the Bible, and road-tripping! Her favorite places she has visited are the Greek Islands, Venice, and Italy.

  • Alejandra Sorola

    ALEJANDRA SOROLA is 29 years old, and has been married for four years to her husband, Carmelo. She has two beautiful girls and one baby boy. Alejandra was born in Mexico and was raised in San Antonio. She is a stay at home mom, homeschool mom, and owner of a small business, For His Glory Collection. In her spare time, you will find Alejandra in her office, working on her prayer journal, lesson planning, or hiding her sweets from her small children. Alejandra is a first generation Apostolic Pentecostal and has been serving God for six years. Her ultimate goal is to serve God and glorify Him with her life & hands, to be an encourager and motivator to other women in their walk with Christ. Her favorite scripture Psalm 23.

  • Rhonda Wesie

    RHONDA WESIE is a mother of two adult children and a member at Calvary Church. One of her greatest passions in life is her career, nursing. After obtaining her BSN in 1995, Rhonda began serving as a full time, Board Certified-RN at University Hospital in San Antonio, a position she's held for the past 22 years. Working at one of the nation's leading teaching hospitals and South Texas' premier Level 1 Trauma Center, you never know what the day may hold. Whether it's patching up a minor abrasion, delivering chest compressions during a code blue, gently

    caressing a fevered brow, holding the hand of a dying patient to promote comfort and a peaceful passing, or simply supporting the family, one thing's for sure... it's always rewarding. Ask anyone who knows Rhonda well and they will agree - her career is her calling! She's one of the best.
