Supplies

  1. Any 3 tier tray will work

  2. Wet foam for fresh florals- (not styrofoam)

  3. Greenery

  4. Oranges (other fruit can be used)

  5. Pastries of choice

Soak the wet foam in sink filled with water.

If your tray has a center point- push water filled foam over center point pushing it down to tray. The center point will secure foam in place.

If no center point, wet floral tape can secure it to tray.

One of my favorite greenery is Ruscus Israeli. It’s inexpensive and a great filler.

In the San Antonio area, I enjoy purchasing florals and greenery from Travis Wholesale, it’s open to the public and has a huge selection of gorgeous florals and greenery.

It’s also my go to for ribbon- every color texture and kind. Greenery can also be purchased at most grocery stores or SAMS although selections are limited.

Cut each stem into several pieces of different lengths.

Place longer piece on top for height and fill in by placing different length pieces around until foam is covered.

I used 2 packs of greenery which was 10 stems- cutting each stem in at least 3 pieces - sometimes 4 or 5 pieces.

The final touch -

cut oranges in half and insert skewer or floral stick through peel and place around greenery pushing into foam.

Add pastries of choice- cookies and muffins, small pieces of fruit mixed in give color and variety.

Friends- SPRING is upon us….it’s easier than you think to do fresh floral decor and adds such a special touch to any event.

Repeat after me-

“I can do this”
