It’s time to meet your writing peer!
Navigating the world of writing can be a personal journey, but connecting with a writing peer can be a game-changer. At Following Titus 2, we believe that fostering meaningful relationships within the writing community is helpful for growth and inspiration. Most of our Bible studies have been developed through collaboration, peer to peer, and team building events.
Whether you're a seasoned wordsmith or just starting your writing adventure, having a writing peer helps develop your unique voice, uncovers challenges in our writing styles and can provide invaluable support. Through check-ins, feedback sessions, and collaborative brainstorming, you'll not only refine your craft but also find a kindred spirit to share the highs and lows of the writing process.
I want to encourage you to go in with an open mind to learn from each other. Embrace new perspectives, and enjoy hearing what others may think or feel from your writing talents. This is a beautiful opportunity to celebrate each others’ successes. Learn to trust your writing peer, understanding that they can become a source of motivation , sounding board and maybe even a lifelong friend!
Are you ready for the next step? Below are some keys for making the most of your peer-to-peer writing experience successful.
NEXT STEPS
Introduction - Reaching Out
Arrange a 10-15 minute video or phone call with a writing peer to meet a new friend and learn about them.
Communication
Decide how do you and your peer prefer to communicate?
Sharing
Will you share which writing prompt you will select each week? Or do you simply want your peer to review your work. Each group of partners is encouraged to do what works for them.
Our Goal and Writing Journey
Our goal is to write and submit to your partner each week. We understand that life happens, and this journey is meant to be enjoyed. If you find yourself stuck on your writing journey, reach out to your friend and discuss your thoughts. Let them spark your creativity and inspire you to keep moving forward.
If life happens and you can’t write that particular week, communicate that with your peer and jump right back in the swing next week.
I’m so excited you are a part of the writing exchange. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
Now, Let’s have fun!
