Ten Items Under $15 To Freshen Up Your Quiet Time This Spring

April 13, 2023

Our main goal here at Following Titus 2 is to get women teaching women and into the Word of God daily! We’re hoping you’ve still got all the momentum, energy, and excitement that you started the new year with, but just in case you find yourself sliding into a humdrum rhythm with your prayer and devotion routine, we got some goodies to kick you out of the slump! We certainly know that none of these things are essential to a quality quiet time, but we all love something new and/or pretty to occasionally mix things up! These items would also be great little additions to a Mother’s Day gift or just as a simple thinking-of-you or thank you gift.

Alohaster Mild Highlighters

These chiseled highlighters are so pretty! They have beautiful pastel colors and great reviews on Amazon. I checked the customer questions and am seeing reports that they don’t bleed through Bible pages. Yay! These would be a fun, inexpensive way to freshen up your writing tools for devotion time. They’re on sale right now, too!

Mr. Pen Pouch

We’ve recommended Mr. Pen products in the past here at FT2. They make lots of Bible friendly writing tools. These pretty little pouches are adorable! They’re high quality, have great reviews, and seem like they would hold the perfect number of pens or highlighters for taking your devo on-the-go.

Christian Themed Stickers

Oftentimes, we use these cute faith-based stickers on our laptops or water bottles and the like, but if you buy one of these 100-piece variety packs, they can be a special addition to a prayer journal or binder! These are also fun to tuck into cards for friends.

Sticky Index Tabs

We love these sticky tabs! They’re super handy for color-coding in your Bible or journals. You can also write on these with a Sharpie type marker or pen. They come in a huge variety of warm and pastel colors.

Bible Tabs

These book of the Bible tabs are pretty and would look really nice with a brown covered Bible! Tabs can be helpful, especially on the Bible you take to church. They make jumping from one book of the Bible to another a sinch! You can find a huge variety of these on Amazon, but if you have a Bible that these would complement, they’re pretty!

Transparent Sticky Notes

Okay – only one more thing in the sticky note/tab category! These clear post-it style notes are so cool, and they come in a huge variety of colors. They’re 3X3 which is a nice size for notetaking. If you’re hesitant to write in your Bible (or you’re running out of space – ahem – we see you!), then these are a great option.

It Is Well with My Soul Coffee Cup

I will admit that most of us probably have enough coffee mugs, but this one is an awesome reminder! If you’ve ever participated in our Good Girls of the Bible, you know the story of the Shunamite Woman who spoke the words “It is well” despite the indescribable pain and sorrow in her life. Your quiet time with Jesus is a place you can always raise that banner – It Is Well!

Bliss Collections Habit Tracker

Some of us could simply use a bit more personal accountability when it comes to our quiet time. We know that the only two main parts of quiet time are prayer and some sort of Bible reading or study; that’s the basic template. But maybe it’s time to challenge yourself with some new activities. Try tracking scripture memory, listening to worship music, reading a faith-based book, or scripture journaling in addition to your normal routine. This tool could help you track your progress as you try something new.

Chesapeake Bay Candle

In total transparency, I can’t vouch personally for the smell of this candle. But I can usually get behind a product that has 13,000+ reviews on Amazon and 4.5 stars! This water lily pear scent sounds perfect for easing into those spring mornings during your prayer time!
