Tips for Beautiful Outdoor Fall Decor

Did you know there’s a quick simple trick to these large containers.

Save all plastic milk containers, water bottles or cardboard package and fill the container leaving just enough space for the container with plant. Make sure you keep it level so container(s) will sit level.

Insert plant in container(s) on top of plastic bottles.

I chose a rectangle cement faux container so two plants fit perfectly.

You can call it finished or add Spanish moss around edge of container for a more complete designer look.

Spanish moss can be purchased at any craft store in the floral area.

Another quick tip which totally gives a wonderful look for fall.

My plant had a lot of dirt showing so I added three pumpkins.

And I love the difference!

Using three different size pumpkins as well as different colors which added more texture and don’t forget those stems!

When possible, pick your pumpkins according to the stem… what a statement!

One last trick you will love. This container is half full of dirt so I added few pieces of plastic containers and crumbled newspaper to keep  the pumpkins secure and from shifting around.

Added several sizes of pumpkins and … ARE YOU READY FOR MY SECRET ????

I added faux greenery from Hobby Lobby! Just tuck it in around the edges of container and  pumpkins.

It took less than 10 minutes to complete and looks so pretty on my porch!

I hope you enjoyed this idea and you will grab some pumpkins and decorate for this beautiful season. Gentle reminder, fall and the trees releasing their leaves remind us… that letting go of things enables us to grow and prepare for what God has in the future.

Happy decorating,
❤️ Ruthie
