Kids Worship Music!

I love music! And one of the things I find joy in is creating playlists and discovering new artists.
Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of “kid-focused” music to prepare for kids camp, kids services, and camp meeting. Trust me when I say that it can be very overwhelming looking for updated, kid-focused, Christian music! They are either not great praise/worship songs or in my opinion, just plain cheesy. Out of the countless songs and artists that I’ve shuffled through, I have gathered a couple as my favorite picks. You’ll find them below! I’ve already done the hard work for you!
The Donut Man; Age Range 3-10 yrs.
A lot of people don’t know who “The Donut Man” is and it makes me sad because I loved him as a kid! “The Donut Man”, also known as Rob Evans, has been working in ministry for over thirty-five years. His music gives listeners an overview of the basic elements of the Christian faith. His famous tagline is “Life without Jesus is like a donut, ‘cause there’s a hole in the middle of your heart!”.
Some of my favorite songs by “The Donut Man” include:
- “Silly Joshua”
- “God is the Master Builder”
- “Skip and Sing and Dance”
Ellie Holcomb; Age Range: 3-12 yrs.
Ellie Holcomb is an Indie-Styled Christian artist. While she makes regular Christian music, she has made two kid’s focused albums. Both titled “Sing”, her two kids albums focus on Jesus creating the world, His great love for us, and not needing to worry or fear. BONUS: One of her kid’s albums is all Christmas songs!

- “Sing”
- “Joyful Noise”
- “Fear Not”
Hillsong Kids ; Age Range: 3-12 yrs.
Hillsong Kids is great for high energy praise music! They have been making since 2007 and honestly some of their best music is from the older albums. Their songs are great for encouraging kids in outward expressions of praise (we like to call it crazy praise because it does get crazy sometimes!) A great album they have is titled “Big Bible Verse Songs'' which focuses on passages of scripture.

- “I’m Really Happy”
- “My Number One”
