The Power of a Positive Team

Teamwork is important, and with a dysfunctional team, there is strife. However, when everyone on a team is on the same page, they can nearly take over the world! As a team leader, the ideas in this book helped me reach for my personal potential, which in turn, helped my team achieve greater success. We moved like a well-oiled machine!
According to the research described in The Power of a Positive Team, when you have a feeling in your heart, it goes to every cell in your body, then outwards…. And people up to 10 feet away can sense these feelings!
So, when I walk into a room, I have a decision to make. Am I going to feed the negativity of the world, or am I going to have the love of God go in before me and with me? As a behavioral teacher, before I went into any situation, I always said a prayer. I prayed God would let peace and mercy flow from me and toward everyone I interacted with. That doesn’t mean that some days I did not get my head bit off, but I know it would have been so much worse without praying that prayer! I have had other teachers in debriefs say that as soon as I touched the classroom door, a calmness took over all the students.
It has been several years since I first read this book, and I return to it each school year to reread my highlights. I know I’ll have to work on several different teams, and this book has been an invaluable resource to guide me!
